Side Kwento:  Finding  hotel for wedding preparation was the most tedious for us. Nalibot na namin lahat ng hotel sa Makati, Boni hanggang sa makarating na kami ng Ortigas. With the budget we have and with all the requirements that we’re trying to consider. Diyos ko, naka-stress talaga. 20k lang kasi allotted budget namin for hotelpreps.

Nakatuwa nga si hubby kasi dumating yung time na alam na nya itatanong sa hotel staff pag nag-request kami ng showroom. Since late na din kami naka-pagbook, most of the hotels are fully booked na in preparation daw for the elections.

Hirap din magrely sa net, meron nga kami na-experience ni hubby ang ganda ng picture sa net pero nung binisita namin sobrang layo sa reality. Meron naman ang mura ng initial price pero sobrang dami naman ng restriction tulad ng bawal magpadeliver ng food or limited number lang ng bisita ang pwede or limited ang facility na pwedeng gamitin. Meron din sobrang liit ng room pero maliwanag. Meron maliwanag at malaki pero sobrang mahal.  Meron pa nga ok yung 2 bedroom suite nila pero yung single room naman sobrang mahal. Yung isa naman na nakita namin, ok yung 2 bedroom suite kaso wala ng available na room para kay hubby. Sabi nung bellboy pikit na lang daw kami paglalabas para di magka-kitaan. Wehehe..=>

When we visited Lindensuites, all our requirements were satisfied naman. First, there’s a promo so budget? Check!  Then, my 2-bedroom suites for bridal preps were spacious enough. (113 sq. m.) So big rooms? Check! 3^rd,room must be well lit or as per our photogs, hanapin san tumatama si araw for natural lights. Check pa din! 4^th, must allow bringing in of foods and no limits for number of guest. Check din. Sobrang tuwa namin pareho na nahanap namin si linden bukod sa na-comply lahat ng requirements may na-save pa kami sa allotted budget namin... =>

Pros: the rooms are big lalo na yung 2 br suites nila. Hubby’s room was upgraded to junior suite kaya mas lalong ok. We were able to avail of their promo rate din kaya mas nakatipid kami. Nice yung free buffet breakfast, na-enjoy namin talaga. May free ice cream pa sya na na-enjoy naman ng ento ko na nag-stay din sa hotel. Malapit din siya sa megamall kaya naka-last minute shopping pa kami at nakapag-pamanicure pa ko. Syempre may staircase din…:D

Cons: late na kami nagcheck-in kaya napuntang room sakin is sobrang layo sa room ni hubby. Im on the 12^th floor then si hubby naman sa 18^th floor. We specifically request for the same floor level and yung well lit na rooms sana kaso on the day yung sakin kulang ng natural light as per our photographer. When we arrive at night, box for my gown is nowhere to be found. We tried calling the customer service pero wala daw kasamang box yun. Na-stress ako dito kasi di ko lam panu ko iuuwi yung gown ko. =( Buti na lang, the next morning, hinanap ko yung housekeeper at nagtanung ako ulet. Ayun nakita naman..=)

Tips and Learnings: 

1. If booking for hotel rooms, go for big rooms especially for the bride, ang laki na ng room ko pero nung dumating yung mga suppliers at family parang lumiit na sya..wehehe.  Imagine total of 33 people kami sa room ko. This includes  5-video, 4-photo, 6-otd, 3-hmua, 2-gown,  then my family which are 6-female ento, 2-parents, 1- flowergirl, 2-grooms men,  plus 2-mom and sis of hubby. Kay hubby naman aalog-alog sila sa room nya. Total of 7 people lang which includes 5-family members, 1-bearer and 1-bestman.

2. As per our photog naman, ok lang daw maliit basta well lighted sya. So best talaga to do an ocular, you can check the windows kung san tumatama ang araw para malaman kung maliwanag sya. However please note also that the rooms na inoccular nyo will depends on the availability din on the day. Tulad nung nangyari sakin. When we did our ocular ang laki at ang liwanag nung rooms pero on the day na, walang natural light yung rooms na napunta sakin. Biro pa nga ni Joel Garcia sana daw nagpalit kami ni hubby kasi nasa kanya yung araw. Siguro check-in na lng ng maaga para mas makakapili pa kayo or atleast find a way to block that specific rooms for your date if possible.

3. You can check also kung san kayo mas makakamura kung sa sites like agoda.com, hotel’s online reservation or sa hotel na mismo. What we did is compare2x kami sa tatlo, we see to it that we ask the personnel if they have a promo. Kaya mas nakamura kami nung nagbook kami sa hotel mismo kasi nga na-avail namin yung promo rate nila na pinakamababa compare sa iba.

4. If you have cash endorsement on the day, let your husband be held responsible for this. Sa dami ng tao sa room ko, naka-stress maghawak ng cash on the day. Kaya pag may mga payables like last minute buys , endorse ko kaagad kay hubby. Si hubby na din nag-endorse kay OTD..=>

5. If you’re planning to move your stuff to another room upon check out, make sure you assign someone to attend to this. Someone who can be held responsible talaga. Samin kasi I signed a waiver lang allowing the housekeeping to transfer the stuff to my groom’s room. Sobrang busy na kasi on the day kaya di ko na alam kung anu2x yung natransfer sa room ni groom. According to Ms Cece of Kiss the GIRL, di raw nila responsibility yung pagtransfer kaya di ko din sila masisi nung nawawala na yung box ng gown ko..=>
